Love Island 2024 contestant suffers painful injury as show is set to begin

A Love Island 2024 contestant has suffered a painful injury as the show is set to begin on Monday, June 3rd.

Ciaran Davies has now revealed the extent of a painful injury he sustained in a Welsh rugby match – which significantly impacted his fitness routine.

Love Island is set to return to our screens with Maya Jama as host as a host of singletons are ready to enter the villa looking for love.

Speaking to the Mirror about finding out he was joining the show, he confessed: “I found out, I think it was a Saturday morning, that Saturday I had a rugby game after so I was very excited but obviously all the boys around me, I can’t tell anyone, then that same day I cracked my collarbone.”

“Honestly, all I have done is make sure this is better, which it is, it’s been cleared and it’s completely fine.”

He continued: “I’m already back in to the gym, so I think I had about a week before I came.”

“So honestly, I have never trained and been to the gym so hard in my entire life just to try and get into shape, get the abs showing as much as possible.”

“So I’ve done a little bit but maybe not as much as I want to.”

Ciaran was the sixth contestant confirmed to join the show for the 2024 summer series.

The 21-year-old hails from Wales and works as a surveyor.

He said: “It’s the perfect time for me, I feel like I’m mature enough for something serious with the right girl.”

“Obviously looks but humour is a big thing for me, I’m a bit of a wind up so I want a girl who can give it back. Loyalty is another one for me, I think that’s the most important thing to look for in a relationship.”

“When I was in Malia on a boys holiday I pretended to be Liam Reardon from series 7 to get into a club because they wouldn’t let us in.”

It worked and we ended up getting a private booth and free drinks all night.”
