WATCH: Nadine Coyle bursts into tears during emotional Girls Aloud tribute to Sarah Harding

Nadine Coyle was left in floods of tears as she honoured her late bandmate, Sarah Harding, during a Girls Aloud gig.

The singer tragically died aged just 39 in September 2021, after being diagnosed with advanced breast cancer.

Following her death, Girls Alouds remaining members Nadine, Cheryl, Kimberley Walsh, and Nicola Roberts decided to fulfil Sarah’s last wish and go on tour to celebrate her.

Profits from the completely sold-out The Girls Aloud Show are being donated to The Sarah Harding Breast Cancer Appeal, which has helped raise vital funds for research into the disease.

The tour ended emotionally at Liverpool’s M&S Bank Arena on Sunday, June 30.

Nadine, 39, was overcome with emotion during their performance of I’ll Stand By You.

The group informed the audience that they would be singing alongside Sarah from a previously unreleased recording of the song, which featured only Sarah.

As the song continued, Derry-born Nadine was seen wiping her tears away as she started crying while trying to continue the performance.

With a video of Sarah playing behind the four girls, Nadine turned to face her friend before she sought comfort from her bandmates.

Throughout the concert, Sarah’s memory was kept very much alive, with her iconic line “Take a walk on the wild side of life,” from Something New being played across the arenas.

As the band wrapped up their performance, a huge screen appeared on stage during The Promise, allowing Sarah to shine once again as she belted out: “So here I am, a walking primrose, wondering when I’m gonna see you again,” as fans and the band cheered for the late star.

Moments before the four girls walked off stage, a photograph of Sarah appeared behind them alongside the text: “In loving memory of Sarah Nicole Harding. 17.11.81 05.09.2021.”
