Prison Break stars Dominic Purcell and Wentworth Miller set to reunite on screen

Dominic Purcell and Wentworth Miller are set to reunite on screen.

Nineteen years after the premiere of their hit series Prison Break, the pair are working together again on a new project.

It has been confirmed that the actors will star in an upcoming series titled Snatchback.

Dominic and Wentworth played the incarcerated brothers at the centre of the beloved series for what sounds like an equally tension-fuelled show.

Prison Break initially aired for four seasons on Fox from 2005 to 2009.

The show featured Purcell and Miller as brothers Lincoln Burrows and Michael Scofield.

After receiving a TV film titled The Final Break, the show was revived for a fifth season in 2017.

In an Instagram post, Dominic confirmed the news of their collaboration, writing, “And finally to my dear friend Wentworth Miller #wentworthmiller for coming on board and co / staring with me. Your talents have been sorely missed. Thanks, brother.”

Snatchback is based on the real-life experiences of an intelligence officer and his work in hostage recovery.

An official synopsis of the series says it “follows a highly skilled privately contracted team of operatives as they recover hostages across the globe from some of the most exotic and equally dangerous locations on the planet.”

The production will be a family affair for Dominic as his wife, Tish Cyrus Purcell, is also attached to the project.

The series will be produced by her production company, Hope Town Entertainment.

Tish, the mother of superstar Miley Cyrus, married the Prison Break star in a beautiful ceremony in August 2023.

After divorcing her husband, Billy Ray Cyrus, in 2022, Tish found love with her celebrity hall pass, Dominic Purcell.

In an interview for Alexandra Cooper’s podcast Call Her Daddy, Tish explained that Purcell had first DM’d her on Instagram in 2016, but his ex blocked her shortly after.

Speaking to Alexandra, Tish said, “I had followed him on Instagram, and he DM’d me and just said, ‘Hey Tish, I think you’re super cool and you’re doing a great job.'”

Speaking about Dominic to People in February, Tish also gushed, “He just encourages me to fly. It has empowered me in such a way that I’ve never felt before.”
