Gypsy Rose Blanchard opens up about split from estranged husband Ryan Anderson

Gypsy Rose Blanchard has opened up about her split from her estranged husband Ryan Anderson.

The 32-year-old announced their separation earlier this year, almost two years after they tied the knot behind bars.

Their split came just three months after her release from prison.

She revealed the couple would be going their separate ways on her private Facebook account.

Gypsy Rose served seven of her 10-year sentence in Chillicothe Correctional Centre in Missouri for conspiring to kill her mother.

Dee Dee, Gypsy’s mother, was then stabbed to death by her then-boyfriend Nicholas Godejohn.

Despite this, Ryan fell in love with the jailbird and the couple were married in a jailhouse ceremony in July of 2022.

During a Youtube video, Gypsy was asked by her fans what was the first thing she did that helped her gain her independence.

She replied: “I know it’s gonna sound a really cheesy answer, but the truth is when I divorced Ryan, and filed for divorce and I followed my heart to true love.”

“I felt like I made that choice. I was a free woman. I made that choice as an independent woman.”

“And I think everyone should follow their heart if they know what they want in life and they know what’s going to make them happy.”

She continued: “I absolutely feel like no matter what you should go for it.”

“Life is too dang short to be sad or feel trapped by anything in your life.”

She noted that she was in a marriage that she “wasn’t happy with.”

She confessed that she knew her “heart was elsewhere,” choosing to “follow that.”

“I’m happy. I’m very happy. You know, this is the happiest that I’ve ever been in my entire life. And I’m not ashamed of that,” she added.

In a post confirming her split from Ryan, she wrote: “People have been asking what is going on in my life.”

“Unfortunately my husband and I are going through a separation and I moved in with my parents home down the bayou.”

“I have the support of my family and friends to help guide me through this. I am learning to listen to my heart. Right now I need time to let myself find … who I am.”

Court documents obtained by Entertainment Tonight, it showed that Gypsy filed the restraining order against her estranged husband, in the 17th Judicial District Court in the Parish of Lafourche, Louisiana.

The restraining order comes three days after Blanchard filed for divorce from the Louisiana special education teacher.

According to court records, the former convict filed just before 2 p.m. in Lafourche Parish, Louisiana, one week after she announced posted her private Facebook statement.
