The Wanted’s Jay McGuinness has opened up about his “lifelong bond” with Tom Parker’s widow Kelsey.
The singer sadly died in March 2022 at the age of 33, after being diagnosed with a terminal brain tumour in 2020.
Speaking to Goss.ie at the preview of 2:22, a thrilling play Jay is starring in, the singer opened up about his current relationship with Kelsey, who was married to Tom for four years.
Jay explained: “We did this show in Bromley which when we did the UK tour and Kelsey came along with her friends.”
“That’s a lifelong friendship isn’t it, we all knew each other as babies and we all had our fun crazy times.”
“Then we all did a lot of growing up together, so that’s a lifelong bond isn’t it.”
The singer then spoke about his relationship with his other The Wanted bandmates and revealed that they all try to “speak every Wednesday.”
Jay added: “We try to do this thing where we speak every Wednesday but we are a bit sh*tebags about that.”
“Especially me right now, but after this week I’ll be more on it.”
“I’ll reply boys,” he jokingly said into the camera.
“We’re brothers for life and that will never change,” he gushed.
