Simon Cowell set to sign HUGE deal with Netflix for new show

Simon Cowell is set to sign a huge deal with Netflix for a new show titled Simon Cowell: Midas Touch.

Earlier this month, it was revealed that the music mogul is on the hunt for the “next” One Direction as he plans to film the entire process.

The search and auditions will be filmed by Box to Box, those behind the likes of Formula 1: Drive to Survive.

A source has now told The Sun that the former X Factor judge is close to signing on the dotted line with the streaming platform.

“Simon has been speaking to Netflix for months about this new show and they’re close to dotting the I’s and signing the T’s.”

“Netflix is the perfect place for his new show and Box To Box, who are producing the series, have worked with them before.”

“Simon and his team have been working so hard on getting the show off the ground and a final deal is so close now.”

“The name of the show has given people a bit of a laugh,” the insider continued.

“Simon knows he is the best at what he does and calling his show Midas Touch gives a new meaning to blowing your own trumpet.”

The former X-Factor judge is “praying” he finds a group as talented as the hit boyband as he launches his hunt.

Auditions are set to take place in Dublin on 28 and 29 July, although the venue has yet to be confirmed.

Other auditions will take place across the UK in Newcastle on 4 and 5 July, Liverpool on 7 and 8 July and London on 1, 2 and 3 August.

The music mogul is on the hunt for a new group that will rival the successes which were achieved by One Direction following their time on the X-Factor.

The boyband, consisting of Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Louis Tomlinson and Liam Payne, was formed on the show in 2010 – achieving huge amounts of success until they split in 2015.
