Taylor Swift fans slam ‘ridiculous’ ticket prices for Dublin gigs

Taylor Swift fans are slamming the “ridiculous” ticket prices for her upcoming Dublin gigs.

The singer will play three nights in Croke Park (which has a concert capacity of 82,300): June 28, 29 and 30, 2024.

To get tickets, fans needed to pre-register by midnight on June 24. Some of those fans then received an access code, while others were placed on a waitlist.

Tickets for Friday’s show went on sale at 11am, tickets for Saturday’s show went on sale at 1pm, and tickets for Sunday will go on sale at 3pm.

Unfortunately, a lot of fans have not been able to get their hands on tickets yet – despite having an access code and being in the queue for hours.

Others were left disheartened when they finally reached the end of the queue, only to discover the only tickets left were VIP packages – which cost between €371 and €743.62.

Taking to Twitter, one fan wrote: “The sh*t thing is the whole idea was to make it easier for fans to get tickets. Why so many ridiculous VIP priced tickets? You think any of us can afford 700 quid for a ticket? Its been the actual worst experience for fans.”

Another wrote: “What a joke, sorry but shame on Taylor selling those extortionate VIP tickets when majority are young fans that don’t the have that sort of money.”

A third penned: “Absolutely love being in a Ticketmaster waiting room for 30 mins followed by queuing for 70 more mins to be offered only VIP tickets for ridiculous prices.”
