A-list Irish actor FINALLY given star on Hollywood Walk of Fame

An A-list Irish actor has finally been given a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

The 2025 Hollywood Walk of Fame class has been revealed, and it includes major celebrities like the late Prince, Jane Fonda, Jessica Chastain and more.

More than 30 new stars will be added to the Walk of Fame in the categories of motion pictures, television, live theatre/live performance, radio, recording and sports entertainment.

Castleknock native, Colin Farrell who has starred in Phonebooth, Horrible Bosses, The Banshees of Inisheeren and so much more has also been included on the list of honorees.

The motion picture honorees include John Carpenter, Jessica Chastain, Bill Duke, Robert Englund, Emilio Estevez, Colin Farrell, Jane Fonda, Nia Long, Lisa Lu, Glynn Turman and Toni Vaz.

On the TV side are Fran Drescher, Lauren Graham, Bill Nye, Molly Shannon, Sherri Shepherd, Courtney B. Vance, Chris Wallace, Trey Parker and Matt Stone.

In the recording category are Fantasia, Depeche Mode, Los Bukis, The B-52s, Green Day, The Isley Brothers, Busta Rhymes, George Strait, Keith Urban, WAR and Prince will be honoured.

Misty Copeland and Alan Cumming will also be given stars for live theatre, David Beckham and Orel Hershiser are the sports entertainment honorees, and Adam Carolla is the sole radio star this year.

Honorees have two years after they are chosen to set a date for their ceremonies.

The Hollywood Chamber’s Board of Directors chose the selections in mid-June, and they were announced by Niecy Nash, Joe Mantegna, Jimmy Jam and Steven Nissen, the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce president, on Monday.

“The Walk of Fame has made history again! As Chairman of the Walk of Fame Selection Committee, I am thrilled to announce the distinguished honorees who will grace the iconic Walk of Fame in the Class of 2025.”

“Each honoree truly embodies the essence of excellence in their respective fields.”

“The committee and I cannot wait to see our honorees becoming part of this world-famous walkway!” said Peter Roth in a statement.
