Friends of a Carlow student who survived a horrendous car crash that claimed four of her friends lives, have been given hope that Ed Sheeran will sing for her whilst she recovers in hospital.
People close to Dayna Kearney started an online campaign called #singfordanya to get her favourite musician Ed Sheeran to sing for her.
The campaign has now been given hope after Ed Sheeran’s manager had seen their attempts and tweeted “We’ll arrange something.”

Organisers of the campaign have shared their delight with the response and the positive news from his manager, Stuart Camp.
Since the singer-songwriter has announced he’ll perform in iconic Dublin venue Whelan’s at the end of the month, and now it looks like Dayna’s dreams could come true.
Dayna was in a critical condition after the VW Polo she was driving crashed new Athy, Co. Kildare last Tuesday – now talking and in a stable condition, a visit from her idol will no doubt give her smile during her recover.
