Comedian Mark Mehigan reveals he hinted at romance with Doireann Garrihy MONTHS ago

Mark Mehigan has revealed he hinted at his romance with Doireann Garrihy months ago.

The new Dancing with the Stars host confirmed her relationship with the comedian earlier this week, sharing a sweet snap of them in front of a Christmas tree in The K Club.

The pair first sparked romance rumours in December, after they enjoyed a night away together at the five-star Powerscourt Hotel in Enniskerry.

Although speculation surrounding their romance only begun last month, Mark has revealed he hinted at it months ago.

Taking to his Instagram story on Wednesday, the comedian shared his feed post from November 20.

He wrote: “Also, not one of you noticed the original soft launch. Look at the paw on the top left.”

The paw belongs to Doireann’s King Charles pooch Bertie, whom they brought along on their romantic stroll in Dún Laoghaire last month.

At the time of Mark’s post, James Kavanagh had hinted at the couple’s romance, subtly pointing out: “What a pawfect piece on you 💘.”

Another Instagram user wrote: “A Bertie paw 😂.”

Doireann confirmed her relationship with Mark on January 3, sharing a photo of them from their trip to The K Club.

Some of the DWTS presenter’s famous friends previously hinted at her new romance when she shared an outfit photo on Instagram.

James Kavanagh commented: “Now that’s a dress to Mark the occasion .”

Meanwhile, Joanne McNally jokingly wrote: “Love the dress but what’s the mark on your leg?”

Doireann recently spoke to Irish Country Magazine about how she’s happier than ever in her 30s, and how she’s enjoying success in both her professional life and her love life.

Doireann told the magazine: “Romantic love wasn’t part of my plan for 2023 but as all the best lyricists and poets will tell you, you can’t plan for that kind of thing.”

Doireann and Mark’s romance comes after she split from her boyfriend Paddy Wilson back in March, after three years together.

The comedian hosts popular podcast The Sunday Roast, which he started in November 2019.

The Foxrock native, who is managed by talent agency Matchstick, previously worked as a writer for the BBC.
