Richard Hammond has admitted that emotions were high during the filming for his new show, The Grand Tour.
The presenter is joined by his fellow former Top Gear hosts, Jeremy Clarkson and James May, and the trio’s new Amazon show has received rave reviews.
“I’m not going to lie, we shot that bit, there’s a moment when all three [of us] arrive,” he said.

The show’s first episode aired this week and Richard said that they wanted to make something that they were proud of.
“And because I’m the soft one, I was a bit choked and then we all confessed [it was emotional], the whole crew, it was a big moment, we’d been working towards it for a long time,” he told Good Morning Britain.
“We wanted to make something that we’re proud of, that people go ‘wow’ and that meant putting it all on screen, both financially and creatively, we worked hard to make it the best we can do”
