Kanye West has been sued for workplace abuse as staff have accused him of “harassment,” “humiliation,” and attempts to “control, and destroy.”
Trevor Philips filed a lawsuit against the rapper on Tuesday, April 2nd.
Trevor’s claims follow another lawsuit against the 46-year-old made by two former Donda Academy employees.
The lawsuit which was filed by Shegerian & Associates was obtained by Rolling Stone Magazine and published.
Trevor – who is Black – claims as soon as he started working under the Yeezy founder it was clear that he “treated the Black staff considerably worse than white employees.”
The former employee claimed that Kanye would “scream and berate Black employees, while never even as much raising his tone at the white staff.”
He also claimed that the rapper would make comments similar to those that saw him dropped by Adidas, as well as threatening to go after the LGBTQ community “next.”
Trevor also claimed that Ye also “spread antisemitism” in school meetings in front of students.
The former employee reported that Kanye told two children he “intended to put a jail at the school” to “lock” pupils “in cages” and said he wanted to “shave their heads.”
Trevor also claimed that when he tried to stand up to the rapper that he “responded mercilessly, with incessant harassment, humiliation, and attempts to both mentally control, and destroy, Phillips.”
The lawsuit continued: “Kanye’s ill-will towards the plaintiff ultimately culminated in a vulgar lashing in front of schoolchildren and their parents. Kanye even threatened Phillips with physical violence.”
In a reported incident at the Nobu Hotel in Malibu in December 2022, Trevor alleged he was called to a meeting with the rapper to discuss business, but no such plans were discussed.
During the meeting, the former rapper said “gay people are not true Christians,” and spoke fondly of Adolf Hitler whilst saying the Holocaust was fake.
Kanye then allegedly put The Batman movie on silent and during the film made “slow up and down motions with his hand just above his genitals as though he was masturbating.”
The rapper is also stated in the lawsuit to have reportedly banned any employees from putting on too much weight or they would be fired.
It is also alleged that he said he “only likes to date white women” and showed Yeezy staff “nude pictures” of an unnamed woman he FaceTimed during his meeting with Trevor at the Nobu Hotel.
