Una Healy signs up for new Netflix reality show to show ‘a different side to her’

Una Healy has reportedly signed on as one of the celebrities taking part in Netflix’s newest reality show, Bear Hunt.

The Saturdays singer is looking to try and “show a different side to her” by taking part in the survival show.

The new series, hosted by Holly Willoughby, will see 10 celebrity contestants trained in survival skills before they try to escape capture by survival expert Bear Grylls in the jungle.

A source told The Sun: “Netflix have chucked a serious amount of money at Bear Hunt and they have worked hard to get celebrities you might not expect to find in the Costa Rican jungle.”

“Una has signed up to try and show a different side to her.”

“People know her for the Saturdays, and for her short-lived fling with David Haye. Taking part in Bear Hunt will show a side of her that the public haven’t seen before,” they continued.

Other stars linked to the show are Lottie Moss, Strictly head judge Shirley Ballas, former rugby player Danny Cipriani and Mel B.

It was previously the rumoured star will join Holly and Bear and fly out at the end of April, with the show expected to begin filming this month.

This will mark Holly’s first presenting job since famously quitting This Morning back in October, after police uncovered an alleged plot to kidnap and murder her.

Not only has Netflix put huge money into booking stars, but the streaming service is also set to spend £1 million on security to protect the celebs due to rising rates of kidnapping and drug crime in Costa Rica.

The Sun previously reported that ex-special forces and former military personnel will be there to protect everyone from the threat of gangs and kidnapping in the jungle while filming.

The series is set for release in January 2025 on Netflix.
