The Marks & Spencer Christmas ad aired yesterday, and everyone is loving how the short festive film focuses on Mrs Claus for once.
The ad, which was released just days after the infamous John Lewis advert, shows a classy Mrs Claus, played by Oscar-nominated actress Janet McTeer, who sets out on a very special mission for a young boy.
The three-minute clip, that will certainly bring a tear to your eye, was directed by Tom Hooper, who’s picked up an Oscar for Elizabeth I, The King’s Speech and Les Miserables.
After the ad’s release online, plenty of people have taken to Twitter to express how much they love it – and love Mrs Claus.
People were also quick to point out that at the end of the clip, she appears to be reading a book called ‘Fifty Shades of Red’ – how sassy!
As part of their new campaign, M&S stores across the country will also be carrying out 15,000 acts of Mrs Claus kindness for customers.
Sorry John Lewis but marks and Spencer’s ad is so much better and reinforces the magic of Santa for kids too #winner #marksandspencerad
