Host city announced for Eurovision Song Contest 2024

The host city for the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 has been announced.

The 68th annual competition will be held in Sweden next year, after Loreen won with her song Tattoo.

Broadcaster SVT and the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) will host the grand final on Saturday, May 11, with the semi-finals earlier in the week on Tuesday, May 7 and Thursday, May 9.

The Eurovision Song Contest 2024 will be held in the Swedish city of Malmö.

Malmö is the third-largest city in Sweden after Stockholm and Gothenburg.

Loreen’s 2023 victory with her song Tattoo means Sweden now rival Ireland with the victories in Eurovision history.

The country made its Eurovision debut in 1958, and has only missed three contests since: 1964, 1970 and 1976.
