Gemma Atkinson and Gorka Márquez have revealed their wedding is on hold once again.
The couple first met in 2017 when the Hollyoaks actress competed on the hit BBC show Strictly Come Dancing, on which Gorka is a professional dancer.
After striking up a romance, the Strictly pro popped the question to Gemma in 2021 on Valentine’s Day.
Despite being engaged for over three years, the pair have decided to delay their big day even further so that all members of their family can take part.
The couple welcomed their first child together, daughter Mia, in 2019 and their son, Thiago, last year.
The two have now pushed back their wedding so their nine-month-old can walk down the aisle.
Gemma said: “We’d like Thiago to be involved now so we’re going to have to wait another year or so.”
“When we first got engaged we said we’ll get Mia walking down the aisle and then Thiago came along… and there’s no time!”
“We were toying with just going to a registry office and then having a big party after.”
“But I think my mum would like to see me walk down the aisle so no plans yet but one day it will happen,” she told The Sun.
Gemma and Gorka met while the actress took part in Strictly Come Dancing in 2017.
However, the mum-of-two was paired with professional Aljaž Škorjanec.
The former Hollyoaks star placed second on the BBC show that year.
After romance rumours while on the show, the couple confirmed their relationship on Valentine’s Day in 2018.
