Kodaline's Vinny May: 'Courteney Cox gave me champagne for getting engaged – I didn't know her'

Kodaline’s Vinny May has revealed his love for Courteney Cox started when she handed him a bottle of champagne to celebrate his engagement.

The High Hopes drummer popped the question to Carina Elliott while the band was in America recently.

They then went to the Friends star’s mansion in Malibu to work with her fiance, Snow Patrol’s Johnny McDaid, on their new album.

And Vinny revealed the first thing that Courteney did was give her a bottle of bubbly – despite never meeting her before.

“We were with Johnny McDaid from Snow Patrol, who lives in Los Angeles. The first place we went to was Courteney Cox’s house,” he told Insider.
