It's not a Beautiful Day: U2's Miami named their worst song ever

U2’s song Miami from their 1997 album Pop has been named their worst song ever by Rolling Stone magazines.

The Dublin rockers are known for having a string of successful hits however even they have not always gotten it right.

The magazine included it in the feature 20 Terrible Songs by Great Bands. The critic writes that Miami had “the dullest, meshing four looped seconds of 90’s beats.”

Flop: Rolling Stone named the tune U2’s worst song ever

It comes after frontman Bono admitted the decision to release their latest EP Songs of Innocence for free to all iTunes users was a “terrible decision”.

The Dublin singer admitted that he did not anticipate the negative reaction the marketing move received but added that he has always “taken pride in being divisive.”

He added: “I do appreciate that I might have an extra-special annoying gene.”

Goss.ie previously reported Bono is still in recovery after injuring his arm in a bike accident in New York and revealed he is unsure whether he will ever be able to play the guitar ever again.

“I broke my hand, my shoulder, my elbow and my face but the real injury this year was to my Irish pride as it was discovered that under my tracksuit I was wearing yellow and black Lycra cycling shorts,” he wrote.

“Recovery has been more difficult than I thought…As I write this, it is not clear that I will ever play guitar again.”
