Social Media Star Eric Roberts Forced to Postpone Debut Book Release

Top Irish social media star Eric Roberts has revealed that he has been forced to postpone his debut book release.

The Donegal funny man had announced that he had written his first children’s book

Eric, who starred in Netflix series Squid Game: The Challenge took to his TikTok page to explain that he was let down by an unnamed publisher.

Eric has had to go back to “sqaure one” for his book release.

The comedian said he had already paid “thousands” to the publisher to illustrate his book, promote it and publish it, but now he has got himself out of the contract.

“For legal reasons I can’t even tell the full story…and that’s never a good way to start a story,” he said to his fans.

“As most of you may know I’ve written a children’s book and I had an agreement made with a publishers that will remain unnamed…it was a lengthly process, I paid them thousands of euro,” he explained.

“It hasn’t worked out great, and I’m back to square one,” he added.

Eric then said he was seeking an “animator”, “illustrator” and “publisher” to help him get the book released.

In a follow up video, the social media star said that after paying the publisher thousands he got “nothing, just radio silence”.

He said he eventually received a “f***ing brutal” sketch from the publishers, and revealed that he was then able to get out of the contract.

Eric, who previously worked as a special needs assistant in autism units and schools for over eight years, said the book would bring “disabilities to the mainstream in a lighthearted way for kids to understand.”
