Love Island star Chloe Crowhurst rushed to hospital after serious car accident

Love Island star Chloe Crowhurst has been rushed to hospital after a serious car accident.

The Essex native, who appeared on season 3 of the hit dating show, took to her Instagram Stories to update her 287k followers.

She wrote: “Hi guys, I’ve just been collected from hospital due to being in a serious car accident. I won’t be responding to anyone until I can. I’m in a lot of pain and distress.”

During her time in the Love Island villa, Chloe was coupled up with Sam Gowland.

She also previously dated season one contestant and TOWIE star Jon Clark.

Earlier this year, Chloe admitted she “wasn’t in the right headspace” to go on Love Island, and she only decided to do it hours before her flight to Mallorca.

Speaking on IGTV’s Celebrity Skin Talk, she said: “I didn’t want to do it, but the producers was turning up at my work asking me to do it, and I kept saying no, then after my ex was cheating and I was getting messages from people.”

“I wasn’t in the right headspace to do it. But I called the producers three hours before the flight, quit my job and they was at my house packing my bags for me before I even got home. I had no underwear packed or bikinis.”

“If anyone asks me now if they should do Love Island I tell them no. You don’t get no support. After the show I was on my own, after the producers kept asking me to do the show, I thought they keep in touch after, but nothing,” she claimed.

ITV recently published its duty of care protocols ahead of the new season of Love Island, which starts next Monday, June 28.

Bosses made huge changes to their duty of care processes back in 2019, following the deaths of two former contestants.

The popular reality show came under fire that year, after former contestants Sophie Gradon and Mike Thalassitis sadly took their own lives.

The newly improved welfare plans detail the support participants will receive before, during and after filming.

This year’s contestants will be offered “a minimum of eight therapy sessions” after the show, and will receive training on the impact of social media.
