Mary Kennedy has opened up about why she keeps her partner Tom out of the public eye.
The Nationwide presenter has yet to share a snap of her partner of over a year, revealing that she would never push him into the limelight.
“He is a private citizen, and I would never push him,” she told RSVP.
“I have daughters who are in the same situation as Tom and we would go to events together and they would say, ‘No, no, you go into the photograph’.”
“Some people are more shy and private about things like that and I would never push them into something they are uncomfortable with.”
The Dancing With The Stars contestant previously opened up about how she and Tom met: “We were introduced to each other by a mutual friend who thought that we would suit each other.”
“She introduced us via email and then extricated herself from the chat. I went down to Donnybrook one day and we went for lunch.”
“We loved going for hikes over the weekend, whether it was in the Wicklow Mountains or down the country.”
“I am a very social person and I like being with people,” she added.
The broadcaster divorced from her husband Ronan Foster in 2005 after 15 years of marriage.
