'How f***ed up was that?' Russell Crowe lights up the Late Late Show

Russell Crowe admitted he wasn’t a happy audience member during the Late Late Show – but quickly became one of the best guests of all time.

The Gladiator star watched as actor Ryan O’Neal was interviewed by Ryan Tubridy – and admitted he sees his daughter as “the devil.”

Talking about his relationship with Charlie’s Angels star Farrah Fawcett, the actor told Ryan he chose the actress over his own daughter.

Russell was next up on the chat show, and admitted straight away that he found the interview bizarre.

“For me as a member of the audience I’m a little uncomfortable, but mainly I’m concerned for your mental health and well-being,” he told Tubridy.

“Let’s not discuss it any further but how f***ed up was that?”

But once Russell sat on the couch, the actor quickly became one of the best guests of all time on the chat show.

While Russell spoke mostly about his acting career, the A-lister joined the house band and gave a special performance to the RTE audience.

Joining the house band on the balcony, Russell even played the guitar as he jammed with the band.

Russell came straight from the Dublin premiere of his directorial debut The Water Diviner, and revealed Irish audiences loved the flick.

“We just got a standing ovation, the response from people has been fantastic.”

Russell’s movie debuted as a part of the Jameson Dublin Film Festival.

Meanwhile the actor spoke fondly about Limerick star Richard Harris.

His Gladiator co-star became close friends with the actor, and revealed he was important to him.

“I think of a grand old spirit and a wonderfully warm man, he made a decision he was going to be my friend,” he said.
