Shane Lowry has revealed he wants to put off planning his wedding to fiance Wendy Honner.
The Irish golfer proposed to his long-time girlfriend in November who is eager to begin planning the big day – but it’s the last thing on his mind.
He said: “We’ve no plans yet, Wendy keeps trying to make plans but I’m trying to keep it off till after Christmas. We’ll see in January. ”

Previously the 27-year-old said that 2014 had been “a great year” for him after his engagement.
“I am absolutely delighted. Wendy is a great girl and we are both looking to our future together,” he said.
“It is the icing on the cake at the end of a great year. We can’t wait to get home and celebrate with our friends and family over the Christmas,” he added.

Meanwhile Shane also revealed he thinks more needs to be done to make golf a more interesting sport.
He told Today FM: “I think golf sometimes can be too long and drawn out. If you’re someone who’s married with kids and then tell the wife you’re going off for five hours to go golfing on Saturday, how’s that gonna work?”
He added: “I think something needs to be done to make it more exciting. It’s kind of hard to break tradition in golf.”
