Emma Stone references Taylor Swift lyric in her Oscars acceptance speech

Emma Stone has referred to her friend Taylor Swift’s lyric in her acceptance speech at the 2024 Oscars.

At the 96th Academy Awards, the actress took home the Oscars statuette for Best Actress for her role in the Irish-produced film, Poor Things.

During her acceptance speech, the 35-year-old thanked her director Yorgos Lanthimos, husband Dave McCary and the entire cast and crew of the film, as well as her fellow nominees.

Before exiting, however, the mother-of-one took a moment to shout out her daughter, Louise Jean, who will be soon turning three-years-old.

An emotional Emma said: “And, most importantly, my daughter, who’s gonna be three in three days and has turned our lives technicolor.”

“I love you bigger than the whole sky, my girl.”

Soon after, Swifties pointed out pointed out that her specific choice of words correlates to Taylor’s lyric from her song, Bigger Than the Whole Sky, off her album, Midnights.

Emma and the songstress have been friends ever since they were 19-years-old and have spoke highly of one another in the past, with Taylor previously attending the premiere of Emma’s film, Poor Things.
