Adapted from the book written by Jane Austen, the drama is set in the 1790s and focus’ on the story of a beautiful widow Lady Susan Vernon, who has come to the home of her in-laws to hide from colourful rumours about her dalliances circulating through polite society.
Whilst at her in-laws estate, she decides to find a husband for herself and her rather reluctant debutante daughter, Frederica.
Playing the character of Alicia, the Big Love actress is only one of many big names associated with the project including Kate Beckinsale, Xavier Samuel and Stephen Fry.
