Former Rose of Tralee Maria Walsh is making the move into a TV career and is set to host an episode of The Seven O’Clock Show.
The Mayo native will fill in for regular presenter Lucy Kennedy on Monday’s episode of the series and she’s admitted she can’t wait.
“I am excited to be in the hot seat alongside Martin this coming Monday for The 7 O’Clock Show, and again on the 9th with Lucy!” she said.

“I loved being a guest during my Rose year. The craic the pair of them have in studio with their guests always leaves people at home wanting more than the hour,” she told The Irish Independent.
Meanwhile, Maria’s co-presenter Martin King also took to Twitter to let the 28-year-old know he can’t wait to share the host chair with her.
“Looking forward to sharing the couch with you on Monday. We’ll have a few laughs!” he wrote.
