Vogue Williams and Spencer Matthews have revealed they’re considering buying Ireland’s Eye, a small uninhabited island off the coast of Howth.
The island was sold to a private investment company back in 2019 – but recently went back on the market.
Speaking on their podcast Spencer & Vogue, the TV presenter said they discussed buying the island when they were at their home in Howth last month.
Vogue explained: “We were in Howth and I was like, ‘Imagine owning Ireland’s Eye’.
“There’s an island just off Howth…It’s part of Howth practically, it’s called Ireland’s Eye. Spenny said to me, ‘I’m going to buy you that island one day’.
“I said, ‘You can’t actually buy it, it’s not a habitable island. You can’t actually buy it, the person who bought deer park bought the island’.
“Well he should have never said a word because it has just gone up for sale like it was meant to be.”
“I feel like if I buy that island, I’ll be the mayor of Howth, I’m going to get one of those medal necklaces,” she joked.
The couple spent time at their home in Ireland last month, as Vogue filmed a brand new talent show for Virgin Media at the 3Arena.
