Jussie Smollett has been arrested after he was charged with allegedly filing a false police report regarding his ‘attack.’
The Empire star said that he was attacked by two men at the end of January and claimed that the attackers shouted homophobic and racial slurs at him during the incident.
NBC later reported that a source claimed the 36-year-old was involved in the planning of the attack and had reportedly paid the men, who were extras on Empire, to carry out the attack on him.
While Jussie’s attorney’s strongly denied the actor’s involvement in the planning of the incident, this morning Chief Communications Officer of the Chicago Police, Anthony Guglielmi revealed that the actor was charged with filing a false police report and disorderly conduct.
