As commemorations for the 1916 rising continue to pour in from around the country, the centenary has come a family affair for Danny O’Reilly, sister Roisin O and cousin Aoife Scott.
The trip recorded a rendition of Grace in Kilmainham Gaol for RTE’s Centenary.
The song, written in 1985, tells the story of Grace Clifford who married married Joseph Plunkett in Kilmainham Gaol hours before he was executed for his role in the Rising.
Centenary will be broadcast on RTE One at 9:30pm on Easter Monday.
It comes after Danny recently made his DJing debut on Today FM.
