Hometown have revealed that they hope to crack the UK market next following their debut single reaching number 1 in Ireland.
The Where I Belong singers have just released their latest single Cry For Help which was written by Ed Sheeran, and opened up about their ambitions to be  hit in the UK next.
“Shortly we’ll be back in studio. While this song is being released, we’re going to be heading back over to London to record some songs.
“Finish the rest of the album and hopefully hit the UK then after that,” they said.

The boyband’s manager Louis Walsh also has high hopes for the lads and is already planning a nationwide tour around Ireland.
“We have about ten other tracks you haven’t heard. The plan is three singles in the UK and then the album and the plan here is four singles and then the album.
“But they’re going to tour all round the country, every big town, Clonmel, Tuam, Castlebar, they’re going everywhere,” Louis said.
“The music is great and it’s wide open for a brand new boyband, we’ve got One Direction and who else is there really? We want to break Ireland first, we have a massive fanbase here,” he said.

The TV judge also revealed he hopes to nab a guest spot for Hometown to perform on The X Factor to launch their UK career, however the Mayo native admitted he will have to try hard for the spot:
“I’m gonna try, I have to get the job myself first,” he told The Nicky Byrne Show on 2FM.

Meanwhile, Louis revealed he believes now is the perfect time for the lads to achieve success given the fantastic talent coming from Ireland at the moment.
“It’s a brilliant time for Irish music, look at Hozier, look at Kodaline, there’s so many great bands,” he added.
