Ellen DeGeneres has revealed that Kate Middleton is her cousin, but she refuses to admit it.
The famed talk-show host and the Duchess of Cambridge are in fact distant cousins – and Ellen’s on a mission to get Kate to accept that they’re related.
“Kate Middleton and I are distant cousins and I don’t know if she thinks I’m joking, but I’m going to confront her,” Ellen told the Mirror.
“She refuses to admit it and I don’t know why.”
Ellen and Kate are in fact 14th cousins, twice removed, according to an ancestral tracing company in Boston.
The experts discovered that the pair were related through Sir Thomas Fairfax and his wife, Agnes Gascoigne, who lived in England back in the early 1500s.
The American comedian revealed that she’s going to confront Kate at no better place than Wimbledon, although we’re not sure if she’ll be invited into the Royal Box.
“But I am going to be at Wimbledon and if my cousin Kate is there I’m going to bring the DNA chart with me,” she added.
