Adele opens up about struggle with post-natal depression

Adele has revealed that she struggled with postpartum depression after giving birth to her son Angelo.

In a recent interview with Vanity Fair, the Hello singer was asked if she would consider having another baby, but she admitted that she feels “too scared” to go through it again.

“I’m too scared. I had really bad postpartum depression after I had my son, and it frightened me. I didn’t talk to anyone about it. I was very reluctant.”

Frightened: Adele is too scared to think about having another child

“My knowledge of postpartum- or post-natal, as we call it in England, is that you don’t want to be with your child. You’re worried you might hurt your child. You’re worried you weren’t doing a good job.”

However, it affected the 28-year-old singer differently, as she told how she was “obsessed” with her baby – and thought she had “made the worst decision of her life.”

But now, the singer feels confident that Angelo is still the centre of her universe – but in a healthy way this time.

“I don’t mind, because of the love I feel for him. I don’t care if I don’t ever get to do anything for myself again,” she added.
