The Only Way Is Essex’s James Lock has broken his silence on the romance rumours with his ex-girlfriend Yasmin Oukhellou.
The pair dated on-and-off for two years, before they split for good in February 2021.
Since then, they have been spotted together on numerous occasions fuelling rumours of a romantic reunion between the pair.
The pair reunited on the new series of Ex On The Beach and were recently spotted looking cosy as they enjoyed dinner at a restaurant.
Speaking to The Sun about reuniting with his ex on the show, James said: “It started off well, but it didn’t end so well – but we’re good friends now”.
He laughed: “She’s obviously begging to get back with me but I can’t.”
“We’re on good terms – all jokes aside, I don’t want bad vibes, I don’t hate anyone, if someone is negative in my life I cut them out.”
He continued: “But I’m always polite, I’ve been brought up they way to always to a gentleman and that’s the truth.”
“Sometimes you’re in a difficult environments – you go into the villa and there is a lot of animosity there but if you conduct yourself as a gentleman and a good person, you can’t ever lose in life.”
The 37-year-old reality TV star revealed the pair have grown close again after reuniting on the show.
He admitted: “That’s the thing, when I lost her, I lost a best friend.”
“She’s back in my life – I’m single, she’s single.”
When asked if they are planning to get back together, James replied: “If she gets me a big ring out…in this day and age it’s down to the women. If she wants me, she’s got to come and get me.”
“The door is never closed with Yaz, she’s a great person and if I was ever going to settle with someone, she ticks all the boxes.”
“But a lot has happened and in this industry, as much as I love it, it creates a lot of problem.
“A picture tells a thousand words and sometimes things are made bigger than what it is.
“Truthfully, all the girls are good looking girls. The only reason I came back to the show was for Yaz.”
