Jess Hayes has confirmed she’s dating again, nine months after splitting from her fiancé Dan Lawry.
The former couple, who share a son named Presley, called it quits in May last year.
The Love Island star has since found love again, and opened up about her new romance in an interview with OK! magazine.
She said: “It’s early days at the moment, but it was just very unexpected. It’s going well. I’m happy, I’m in a good place. But I feel like I don’t want to say too much at the moment because it’s such early days.”
“It hasn’t been that long, really, it’s very new. Things are going well. It was very random, but things are all good. I’m not ready to say how we met yet, but it did seem like things were meant to be. I have got a good feeling.”
“I didn’t feel like I was ready [to date again], but sometimes these things just happen. Life had a different plan! But I’m happy at the moment.”
Jess added: “I hope I get my happy ending. I’m still young, I still want the dream wedding.”
Speaking about co-parenting with Dan, the 28-year-old admitted: “I can’t lie, it’s not been easy. But I know I’m better off on my own and do feel happier that way. But it has been hard at times. We are getting there.”
Jess and Dan’s breakup came just six months after they sadly lost their baby boy Teddy in November 2020, when Jess miscarried at 19 weeks pregnant.
Jess, who won Love Island with Max Morley in 2015, got engaged to Dan in August 2018 after just six months of dating.
The former couple went on to welcome their son Presley in 2019.
