First Dates Ireland is back – and it’s as awkward as ever as hopeless romantic look for love.
Paddy has never been on a first date ever – but neither has his date Lauren.
“I’m sh*te at talking to girls, I don’t know what to say,” Paddy admitted.

The pair sat together before their dinner at the bar in awkward silence with the only words coming from both Paddy and Lauren were “Oh God.”
Lauren, however, was more hopeful and said, “Just because someone may not be everyone’s type doesn’t mean he’s not your type.”
Then tension between the two slowly began to fade away as they both came to realise they were each on their very first date ever.
First Dates Ireland is back on RTE2 tonight at 9.30pm.
