Aisling O’Loughlin has opened up about her split from long-term partner Nick MacInnes.
Earlier this month, it was revealed that the former Xposé host had split from photographer Nick, who she has three kids with – Patrick (5), Louis (3) and Joseph (8 months).
Speaking about their break up for the first time, Aisling admitted that she wasn’t upset that news of their split got out, as she didn’t want to “live a lie”.
“Yes, it’s out there and it’s fine because it’s the truth, we’re not together any more. I don’t want to live a lie either, but I just didn’t want to announce it,” she told the Herald.

“I wasn’t upset by it. You know what? It’s fine. It’s been that way for so long now, but we never announced it. We never wanted to make an announcement about it,” she said.
The Clare native also revealed that their break-up has been amicable, and that her and Nick will remain friends.
“Nick and I are fine. He’s here now, he’s here most days. Nothing has changed, really, we’re not fighting with each other. Thank God we didn’t have a fight.
“It’s different for every couple. He doesn’t live here any more but he still comes over most days. He made the children too so he gets to come over. We’re connected for life.
“We have made these lovely children who we absolutely adore and they are our focus. We would do anything to make them happy,” she added.
