It looks like Niall Horan could be in line to replace Louis Walsh on The X Factor.
Bookies have tipped the Mullingar native to join the judging panel after betting on him joining the ITV series has been suspended.
Punters in Niall’s native Westmeath have been placing bets as high as €200 at 7/1 that the pop star will join the show.
TV star: Betters reckon Niall could join The X Factor
“A punter placed the hefty novelty bet on Niall to become an X Factor judge,” said Liam Glynn of BoyleSports.
“Another bet of €50 was also struck within the hour which set alarm bells ringing with our traders.”
The news comes after a rep for Zayn Malik rubbished recent rumours that the moody singer was heading to the judging panel.
Zayn’s spokesperson dismissed the story as: “a complete fabrication.”
Solo: Niall could leave 1D for the ITV talent show
BoyleSports recently suspended another bet on Niall Horan being the next member to leave 1D earlier this month after they received a €500 bet in their Westmeath office.
“Following on from a hefty bet on Niall Horan to leave the band we have had no choice but to suspend all our One Direction and X Factor judge markets.”
“As one way or another, Niall’s time in the band may well be coming to an end,” Liam Glynn said.
