Andrew Scott has remained tight-lipped on whether his character Moriarty will be back on Sherlock.
Fans were left at a cliffhanger at the end of season three when his character apparently shot himself and fell from a roof.
The Dubliner is now staying coy on the faith of  his villainous role.
“The special is out on the first of January and I know there are plans to do a fourth series,” he said.

“There was a question mark at the end of the third series about Moriarty and that question will be answered.
“Let’s put it that way,” he told the Evening Standard.
Meanwhile, Andrew recently said he’d like to see James Bond go in a different direction.
