Irish writer and actress Sharon Horgan lost out on an Emmy last night – but it’s okay because her daughter cheered her right up.
The creator and writer of TV hit Catastrophe was up for Outstanding Writing in a Comedy Series at the prestigious awards show, but lost out to Aziz Ansari, the writer of Master Of None.
Although Sharon and her writing partner Rob Delaney missed out on the coveted award, Sharon’s daughter made her feel much better.
After sending a text to her daughter from the award show, she replied saying the loss was a load of “rubbish”.
On the bright side, Aziz Ansari bizarelly wasn’t given time to give an acceptance speech last night, so Sharon missed out on that embarrassing moment…
