Katherine Jenkins has revealed her love for Cork.
The classical singer last performed in the city a year ago at the Cork Opera House with José Carreras.
“I love going to Cork,” she revealed enthusiastically.

The 35-year-old fondly remembered her first performance in the busy city.
“Everybody was just so nice,” she admitted to the Irish Independent.
“I brought Andrew, my husband, and we went and did all the tourist things.
“We met a lot of people and were out and about and I just thought, ‘gosh, what a lovely place’.”

Her second time, with José, was her last performance in the city and was her farewell show before going on maternity leave.
“It was a really, really special night,” she further revealed.
“It seems to be unusual that you would go back to somewhere so quickly and so many times, but if they keep asking me, I’ll go.”

The new mother further revealed that whilst she was pregnant, her voice changed but changed in a good way.
“So many friends told me that when you get pregnant it’s going to be a complete change to the voice, which I didn’t believe
“But it was true. It completely changed. It sort of almost supports the sound in a better way,” Katherine admitted.
“It made the voice louder and more rounded. It was really lovely to sing when I was pregnant.
“I look back and I think I wish my voice sounded like that every day,” she added.
