Today FM DJ Anton Savage has admitted he was emotionally exhausted for the first few weeks of his new show.
The radio star who took over Ray D’Arcy’s slot on the station earlier this year, revealed he had about 10 days to get ready for his new show.
“For the first couple of weeks I was emotionally exhausted, I’d need a hug coming off air,” he said.

“It was hectic. The show had to be filled so one half of the team would stay up in the studio, keeping the show on air, while the other half was down in a hotel planning the new show,
“On the Sunday Show, the only thing I had to worry about was what was coming out of my mouth and what was coming out of the guest’s mouth,” he told TV Now.
