2FM star Louise McSharry has revealed she is a “bag of mixed emotions” as she finishes her chemotherapy.
The RTE presenter finishes her treatment to fight lymphomia, which is cancer of the white blood cells.
And the 31-year-old said she hopes to be told in a month and a half that she doesn’t need any more treatment for the killer disease.
Wigging it out: Louise has been wearing different wigs
She said: “Today is my last scheduled chemo. I am an absolute bag of mixed emotions which is not what I expected.
“I nearly cried saying goodbye to a phlebotomist yesterday. ‘Thank you for being so kind to me’.”
She added: “Few people asking what happens next: I’ll have a PET scan in 4-6 weeks to see if I need further treatment. Hopefully not!”
Brave: Louise is fighting cancer ahead of her wedding
Louise was diagnosed with cancer in August and has since taken leave from 2FM since then, with Eoghan McDermott filling in.
The radio star has said she will still tie the knot this year with fiance Gordon Spierin despite her illness.
