2FM stars Jennifer Maguire, Keith Walsh and Bernard O’Shea will be saying goodbye to their lives – with their radio show beginning an hour earlier.
Now the Breakfast Republic crew will begin from 6am in the morning – an hour earlier – before ending at 8.45am.
It will take over the 6am to 7am slot, which is currently hosted by Alan McQuillan.
Earlier Jennifer confirmed the news online, writing: “Delighted to announce Breakfast Republic are gonna be on air longer!
More to come: Jennifer is on air longer and earlier | BRIAN MCEVOY
“New time 6am – 8.45! Wahoo say goodbye life Bernard and Keith.”
It will now become the second longest show on 2FM – just behind The Nicky Byrne Show.
Last week, Jennifer insisted that despite losing 13,000 listeners in the last radio figures, they have to be given time.
Bitter Hector – who used to host the slot – claimed last week that bosses had already lost.
But Jennifer said: “It takes the guts of a year really, especially because I never did radio before and especially when there is three of us.
“It is different to having two – you have to find a groove because it all has to work and flow. But I think we are on the right track and we love working together.”
