'Very excited!' Brian McFadden starts recording new solo album

Brian McFadden has revealed he has returned to the studio to record a brand new album.

The former Westlife star is gearing up to make his solo comeback after his most recent offering, The Irish Connection, failed to make the Top 50, entering the charts at 75.

“Very excited about my new album. Good to be back in studio after taking 18 months out, ” Brian wrote on Twitter.

The singer has moved from music to TV in recent years, working on ITV as well as previously judging on Australia’s Got Talent

Speaking to Goss.ie recently, Brian revealed his passion for music was still well and truly alive:

“I haven’t stopped (with music), I’m making a new album in January in London.”

Brian’s career has been on the rise lately after landing a hosting gig on UTV’s morning show Who’s Doing The Dishes.

Meanwhile, the 34-year-old’s wife Vogue Williams has also been kept busy with with a string of ‘Vogue Does’ shows on RTE as well as her own show on SPIN 1038.

The news comes after Goss.ie previously revealed fellow Westlife member Mark Feehily is now working as a caterer at music festivals.
