Sinead O'Connor signs new manager – who promises he's too 'old and gay' to have an affair with her

Sinead O’Connor’s new manager has insisted he won’t end up sleeping with the singer like her former representative.

The Nothing Compares 2 U singer announced last month that she needed a new manager after having an affair with her old one.

Now music mogul Simon Napier-Bell, 75,  has taken on the outspoken singer – and insisted their relationship will be purely business.

He said: “I’m rather old and gay, so I don’t forsee anything particularly wrong in that direction.”

He said: “I don’t do muzzling. Muzzling’s the death of an artist, for Christ’s sake. What other artist was ever muzzled and ever produced anything good?
