Sinead O’Connor’s new manager has insisted he won’t end up sleeping with the singer like her former representative.
Now music mogul Simon Napier-Bell, 75, has taken on the outspoken singer – and insisted their relationship will be purely business.
He said: “I’m rather old and gay, so I don’t forsee anything particularly wrong in that direction.”

And Simon – who has worked with The Yardbirds and Wham! – said he isn’t fazed by the headlines she creates and won’t muzzle her.
He said: “I don’t do muzzling. Muzzling’s the death of an artist, for Christ’s sake. What other artist was ever muzzled and ever produced anything good?

“She absolutely must not change her involvement with social objectives and politics, and her songs should always reflect that – otherwise you don’t have Sinead O’Connor.”
He added to the Star that it took just “four days” to sign a deal with Sinead, 48, after specially jetting in to speak with her.
