Hometown nearly had a 'panic attack' after discovering Ed Sheeran wrote their new single

Hometown claim they nearly had a “panic attack” discovering Ed Sheeran wrote their new single.

Louis Walsh’s new boyband have already had a No1 with their first single – Where I Belong – which was written for Kodaline.

Now they are working on their second single, which like One Direction’s Little Things, is written by Ed.

And Dean Gibbons said: “Ed sent us a song and we couldn’t believe it. The label didn’t tell us who had sent it.

“But as soon as the song started playing and he started singing we knew it was him. I was nearly having a panic attack when they said it was him.

“The song had no full title yet so it didn’t give anything away. We’d love to meet him and work with him on it.

“We’re just so excited we could have this on our album. I don’t know if he chose us or the label did but we can’t believe our name even came up in conversation.”

And Dean, 20, told the Irish Sun that Louis Walsh is constantly drilling them.

He said: “He always says, ‘I want more’. He wants bigger and better until we get the best.”
