Film maker Lenny Abrahamson was honoured by Trinity College’s Philosophical Society this Thursday.
The director received the society’s Gold Medal of Honarary Patronage for his contributions to the Irish film industry.
The Dublin native is best known for flick’s like What Richard Did, Adam & Paul and Garage.

Lenny is in good company after receiving the Gold Medal from Trinity, with previous recipients including Helen Mirren, Jonathan Rhys Meyers and Whoopi Goldberg.
Most recently, the director’s acclaimed film Frank received international praise.
The quirky movie starring Domhnall Gleeson and Michael Fassbender was a hit worldwide, with a special spot at the Sundance film festival.
Meanwhile, Lenny is a man in demand, after recently wrapping his latest movie The Room.
