He added: “I don’t even talk about it – I’m not even afraid I’ll let anything slip anymore, I’m just aware that it’s actually boring, because I know the answer is I can’t talk about it.”

The 31-year-old also revealed his excitement about being involved in the world famous film franchise.

“The table read for Star Wars was exciting. I understood how lucky I was to be in the room. And really tried to drink it in while I was there, the madness of it,” he told the Radio Times.

He will next be seen in Ex Machina, the type of film the actor says he has always wanted to be a part of.

“Personal sci-fi fascinates me – there’s three people for most of it and it’s so claustrophobic, but not in a way that’s punishing,” he said.

“I could not stop reading the script. This is the sort of film I’ve always wanted to be in.”

Domhnall will also be seen on the stage in upcoming play The Walworth Farce, which he stars in with dad Brendan and brother Brian.
