Rachel Bilson has opened up about her personal experience of suffering multiple miscarriages.
Speaking on her podcast, Broad Ideas, the former OC star got emotional as she discussed the devastation of pregnancy loss.
The 42-year-old shares an eight-year-old daughter with her ex Hayden Christensen.
On her podcast, Rachel chatted with Libby Weintraub who wrote the book, She Was Born: Words on Loss and Liberation.
“It’s one of the biggest things I talk about with pregnancy and having babies,” the actress said.
“I’ve had miscarriages, so I’ve had losses. They were early on.”
The star also opened up about the birth of her daughter, Briar Rose, and said: “With birth, I even remember going into [it saying], ‘I’m open to whatever.'”
“I always planned to go to hospital because it is safer for me but I’m open to anything. What plans can you make when it’s really not up to you?”
Her co-host Olivia Allen then added: “There’s nothing more out of control than having a child onside of you. There’s so much going on that is out of your control.”
Rachel opened up about her experience due to October being Pregnancy/Infant Loss Awareness Month.
