Liam Hemsworth was hoping to get back with Miley Cyrus – but his family weren’t too happy about how the singer acted after their public split news.
According to US Weekly, Liam was planning to reconcile with his wife, but things changed when his family saw the paparazzi photos of Miley kissing Kaitlynn Carter, just days after their announcement.
A source told the publication that “being so open about her relationship with Kaitlynn” stirred the actor to “quickly” file for divorce.
“He thought they could work it out, but all those pictures of her and Kaitlynn ended that,” the insider added.
“Liam comes from a very conservative family and his family was freaked out by it.”
The report comes after Miley performed her new heartbreak track ‘Slide Away’ at the MTV VMAs.
